Police detonate 200-pound explosive found in Nashua River

By Associated Press (Boston Herald)
June 12, 2004

LANCASTER, Mass. - The state police bomb squad removed and safely
detonated a 200-pound explosive device found in the Nashua River. 

Police Chief Kevin Lamb said the explosive appeared to be old military
weapon, likely from the former Fort Devens, which was located nearby.
