Monday, the Clean Water Management Trust Fund Board approved $3.5 million in grants to protect wetlands near two Tar Heel bases. Monica Barkley is the President of Phoenix Construction. She is glad Goldsboro will soon get state money to buy 500 acres along of undeveloped land near Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. ?Whatever it takes to keep the longevity and security of Seymour Johnson in this area, I'm for it," she said.
