The state Department of Environmental Protection released the results of tests conducted last week along the Merrimack River from the New Hampshire border to Lowell, and at water treatment plants in Tewksbury, Andover, Lowell, Methuen, and Lawrence. Further tests along the Concord River and near some industrial sites will begin next week, said Ed Kunce, deputy commissioner of the department.
