Submitted by Trina Martynowicz <Martynowicz.Trina@epamail.epa.gov> Below is additional information for EPA's 2005 Community Involvement and Training Conference, we are currently soliciting presentation proposals. Please share with interested parties. As the co-chair of the conference, I would like to organize and submit several presentation proposals on federal facilities cleanup-related topics, the deadline to submit presentations is December 15. Feel free to contact me if you would be interested in organizing any of the following presentations or if there are other federal facility topics you would like to see covered: - 2005 Round of Base Closures: impacts to communities, differences from past BRAC rounds, discussion with DoD. - Institutional Controls and community involvement at federal facilities. - Privatization: requirements of community involvement and life of Advisory Boards once Federal sites are transferred to private entities, using case studies. - EPA's One Cleanup Program at Federal Facilities: update on the outcome, final papers, and implementation of this effort. - EPA's Federal Facilities and Environmental Justice: recommendations and implementation of the October 2004 report.
