Boy, 9, finds bazooka training rounds in woods Associated Press LancasterOnline.com (PA) January 3, 2005 SEVEN VALLEYS, Pa. - A 9-year-old boy playing in the woods beside his grandparents' home found three bazooka training rounds, authorities said. Nathaniel Heltzel discovered the rounds, which were about a foot long, Saturday. None of the rounds contained explosives, Lt. Col. Chris Cleaver, spokesman for the Pennsylvania National Guard, said Monday. A bomb squad based at the Fort Indiantown Gap National Guard training center was summoned to pick up the ordnance. Two of the foot-long rounds were of World War II vintage and the third dates to the Vietnam era. The rounds will be destroyed but there is no need to detonate them, Cleaver said. ...
