Subject: [CPEO-MEF] Ft. Devens (MA) reuse planning
 
Planning workshop narrows focus on Devens reuse
I of a 3-part series

DEVENS -- Economic development, housing and community character were the
three topics up for discussion during a three-hour planning workshop
held at Devens. 

It was the second such workshop MassDevelopment has hosted in as many
weeks. A third is set for next month. 

About 100 people who gathered at the Devens Conference Center were told
that the direction of Saturday's session, called "Moving Towards a New
Vision for Devens," was set by outcomes from the one before. A show of
hands indicated that most of the group had attended the previous
session. 

According to printed materials provided for the second workshop, the
three topics on the table were identified as "key priorities" by
participants at the first workshop, which targeted a broader topic:
goals and principals for reuse planning.
