Bay to get a second cleaning Sauk Prairie Eagle May 11, 2005 MERRIMAC - Merrimac officials back clean up of Grubers Grove Bay for the second time around. Town Chairman Richard Grant said he thought the first cleanup was unsatisfactory because the shoreline was not dredged and the work was done with equipment that could not do the job. He said a "feeble attempt" to clean up was made and serves an example of incompetency. Laura Olah, executive director of Citizens for Safe Water Around Badger, said the town needs to go to the county state and federal officials to insist the Army finish cleaning up the mess they made. ...
