Norco mourns activist's death
LeRae Spera helped bring issues about Wyle facility into public view

NORCO - Residents are mourning the death of a prominent community
activist who many say spearheaded the investigation into contamination
believed to have spread from Wyle Laboratories.

Many have said that if it wasn't for LeRae Spera, testing and cleanup in
neighborhoods near the former military and high-tech test facility would
not be happening today.

The 44-year-old Prescott, Ariz., resident was involved in a car accident
in the early morning of April 24 near Strawberry, and died at Scottsdale
Healthcare Osborn, said Sgt. Faith Morgan of the Arizona Department of
Public Safety.
