Norco mourns activist's death LeRae Spera helped bring issues about Wyle facility into public view By Sue Doyle Inland Valley Daily Bulletin (CA) May 17, 2005 NORCO - Residents are mourning the death of a prominent community activist who many say spearheaded the investigation into contamination believed to have spread from Wyle Laboratories. Many have said that if it wasn't for LeRae Spera, testing and cleanup in neighborhoods near the former military and high-tech test facility would not be happening today. The 44-year-old Prescott, Ariz., resident was involved in a car accident in the early morning of April 24 near Strawberry, and died at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn, said Sgt. Faith Morgan of the Arizona Department of Public Safety. ...
