Toxic waste cleanup continues in southwest ValleyChristine L. Romero The Arizona Republic June 10, 2005 GOODYEAR - The cleanup of a massive concentration of contaminated groundwater continues in the southwest Valley. A citizens advisory group met Thursday evening to hear about the progress made at the two Superfund sites, dubbed Phoenix-Goodyear Airport South and North. Progress is continuous and slow moving. The underground contamination isn't not hazardous to people living in the area. Tests show that the drinking water is safe. Recent tests indicate that the air-quality also is safe. ...
