Homeowner finds vintage ordnance in driveway clamshells Associated Press Long Island Newsday June 23, 2005 BETHANY BEACH, Del. -- A piece of vintage ordnance has once again been discovered in clamshells in Delaware, the second such find this year. The ordnance, described as a fuse assembly, was found Wednesday near Ocean View and turned over to Dover Air Force Base bomb technicians to examine and destroy, according to state police spokesman Cpl. Jeff Oldham. Oldham said troopers were called to a home about 4:30 p.m. after a homeowner discovered the munition in a new shipment of clamshells for his driveway. ...
