Unknowns frustrateSauk Prairie Eagle August 3, 2005 SAUK PRAIRIE - Grubers Grove Bay, the Badger Army Ammunition Plant and contaminated drinking water wells in Water's Edge West and the Windings � all may or may not be related. It all depends upon which way the groundwater flows and the source of the contamination, and that's the problem. Trying to find the answer has gone on for a long time and some people want water testing of private wells in the Windings to continue until the direction of groundwater flow is known and the source of contamination is discovered. At the July 28 groundwater meeting, Laura Olah, executive director of Citizens for Safe Water Around Badger said it is inappropriate to discontinue testing of all wells because of the unknowns, and she also wants an enforceable timeline so the people will know how long the investigation will go on. ...
