Military officials want buffer zone around Camp Ripley Associated Press Duluth News Tribune (MN) October 20, 2005 LITTLE FALLS, Minn. - In an attempt to make sure development doesn't threaten operations at Camp Ripley, military officials plan to ask nearby landowners to sell their property, or their development rights. Officials are using $1.5 million from the Department of Defense to protect a 3-mile circle of land around the military base, said Marty Skoglund, the camp's environmental supervisor. ...
