Airport cleanup set to resume By Bob Gates Beverly Citizen (MA) November 24, 2005 Cleanup of polluted areas around Beverly Airport are about to resume. The polluted areas are less than a mile from Wenham Lake, the city's public water supply. Officials outlined plans to clean the areas for about 20 interested citizens last week and residents expressed hope the city would leave the land undeveloped, as a recharge area for water flowing into the lake. Pollutants include cancer-causing agents such as solvents and chemicals used to make plastics and lead. ...
