Water pollutant a mystery By AMANDA LEHMERT Cape Cod Times (MA) December 16, 2005 FORESTDALE - Environmental Protection Agency officials say they may never know exactly the source of perchlorate found in private wells on Peters Pond Drive. But the agency will continue to test the wells to determine whether road flares and road runoff from nearby Route 130 may be related to the contamination, said the EPA's Lynne Jennings. In the spring of 2004, the Army found traces of the chemical - found in fireworks and military munitions - in the private well of the Moretti family. ...
