Most U.S. bases contaminated: report By Cho Chung-un Korea Herald February 9, 2006 Most of the U.S military bases to be returned to Korea's control are seriously contaminated with oil and lead, according to a report. According to a government survey conducted last year, 14 of 15 tested bases recorded an average of four times the permissible level of metal pollutants in the soil, the Hankyoreh newspaper reported yesterday. ...
