Minnesota Awards $4.2 Million in Redevelopment Grants for Blighted
Properties MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — The grants are designed to offset the costs of reclaiming and redeveloping blighted property. Expansion Management March 16, 2006 The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) has awarded $4.2 million in grants to 10 communities in Greater Minnesota to offset the costs of reclaiming and redeveloping blighted property. ... City of Duluth - $750,000 — Grant will help redevelop a 12.9-acre site, a former Air Force Base. The project includes expansion of the Cirrus Production Facility and public parking. The redevelopment will create 220 new full-time jobs, retain 711 full-time jobs and generate $88,691 annually in new taxes. ...
