Deletion of arsenal land from national list soughtBy MetroWest Staff Brighton Standard-Blade May 9, 2006 The Environmental Protection Agency Region 8 is asking that a portion of the land inside the Rocky Mountain Arsenal be removed from the National Priorities List. A public meeting is from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, May 9, at the Doubletree Hotel, 3203 Quebec St., Denver, to consider the proposed deletion. The Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge was created in April 2004. If approved for deletion, the 7.9 square miles of land, once included in the clean-project or used as a perimeter area, could become part of the refuge.
