Bat safety remedied at IAAP

Saving bats will drive you batty.

After a year and a half of conference calling and calculating, 
government officials have come up with a method to determine if 
excavations at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant intended to protect people 
from dangerous soil contamination also help endangered Indiana bats.

"Because it is endangered, we basically have to treat it like a human 
being," said Rick Arnseth of environmental clean–up contractor Tetra Tech.
