(NFS) employees, took part here Thursday evening in an emotionally charged public meeting regarding a federal public health assessment of the area around the NFS plant. During the two-and-a-half-hour meeting, participants raised concerns about everything from perceived high rates of cancer and multiple sclerosis (MS) in Unicoi County to fears about the safety of operations at the NFS plant while a work stoppage at the company continues into its fourth month. ...
