Project engineers from Malcolm Pirnie are digging up Fort Belvoir’s historic past, or at least traces of it, in response to the Department of Defense-wide Military Munitions Response Program.

"This is the first time shovels have entered the ground at Fort Belvoir for the MMRP program," explained Kevin Kivimaki, contracted environmental specialist for SpecPro, a government contracted company specializing in engineering, environmental and information management.
