Proposal aims to clean up perchlorate

A draft of a proposed order from the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality 
Control Board would force three corporations to clean up drinking water 
contamination in Rialto and Colton.

The report, scheduled for release today by the staff of the board, would 
force Goodrich Corp., Pyro Spectaculars Inc. and Black & Decker Inc. to 
take action to clean up contamination of perchlorate and 
trichloroethylene, both of which can be harmful to people.
