Town supports less talk, more actionBy Donna Stehling Sauk Prairie Eagle (WI) November 8, 2006 TOWN OF MERRIMAC - Merrimac town officials and residents want the state Department of Natural Resources to develop an enforceable plan of action for safe drinking water and groundwater in and near the Badger Army Ammunition Plant. In June, contamination has been detected in boundary monitoring wells along the fence in the northeast corner of the Badger Army Ammunition Plant. That's in the town of Merrimac.
