Authority approves use of building Easton board says National Guard can train at silk mill site. By Tracy Jordan Allentown Morning Call (PA) December 22, 2006 A Pennsylvania Army National Guard unit stationed in West Easton has found an unexpected use for the old silk mill property the Easton Redevelopment Authority recently bought for $2.5 million. The B Troop 2-104 Cavalry Reconnaissance Surveillance and Target Acquisition Unit intends to hold weekend exercises on the 10-acre site starting in January. ... The Redevelopment Authority voted Wednesday to allow the unit to use the facility at no cost. The agreement prohibits the use of pyrotechnics, live ammunition and blanks. The unit also will not be allowed to rappel on the outside of the building or use the elevator shafts. ...
