Army tests wells By Donna Stehling Sauk Prairie Eagle (WI) February 15, 2007TOWN OF MERRIMAC - Town Administrator Tim McCumber announced that some private drinking water wells in Merrimac will be tested. McCumber said he was informed by SpecPro environmental Services, the Army's contractor at the Badger Army Ammunition Plant, that funding was approved to test private drinking water wells in the residential development from the Inspiration Drive area to Summer Oaks, including the restaurant and condominiums. Water samples will be collected by SpecPro on Feb. 20, 21 or 22. Residents will be called to set up a date for the sample collection.
