Tronox Incorporated Reports Preliminary 2007 First-Quarter Earnings

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK UNITED STATES

OKLAHOMA CITY, May 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Tronox Incorporated 
(NYSE: TRX, TRX.B) today reported preliminary results for the fiscal 
first quarter ended March 31, 2007.

Tronox reported a loss from continuing operations for the 2007 first 
quarter of $9.0 million ($0.22 per diluted common share), compared with 
income from continuing operations in the 2006 first quarter of $23.6 
million ($0.58 per diluted common share), which included $12.9 million 
after-tax income ($20.5 million pretax) related to a reimbursement from 
the United States for contribution to the costs of perchlorate remediation.
