Okaloosa, Santa Rosa awarded $405,000 in grants to support military

Okaloosa and Santa Rosa counties will receive $405,000 in state grants 
to help support local military bases and surrounding communities.

Gov. Charlie Crist's office announced the awards last week. They are 
part of nearly $3.5 million in defense grants awarded statewide to 
communities that host military bases

"Defense grants enable communities near military installations to better 
support the men and women who serve in our military and their families," 
Crist said in a prepared statement.
