That, he said, is why he called for Monday night's forum to discuss the growth of the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases. "That's what I'm there for, to listen to people," he said. The government has proposed to add 675,000 square feet of administrative space and biosafety level-2, -3, and -4 space at USAMRIID. BSL-4 labs are where researchers study agents with a high risk of life-threatening disease for which no vaccine or therapy is available, according to the National Institutes of Health. ...
