PAFB unit called to dispose of munition Orlando Sentinel (FL) November 29. 2007 ORLANDO - The 45th Civil Engineer Explosive Ordnance Unit from Patrick Air Force Base was called to dispose of a 23-pound practice bomb uncovered at an Orlando subdivision near where a search has been ongoing at a site used by the military in the 1940s. A private contractor working Thursday for Lennar Homes discovered the munitions, an M40 practice bomb, which was determined to he inert, at the Warwick Subdivision at Vista Lakes. Because of the discovery, the Army Corps of Engineers will expand its investigation. ...
