State pushed to continue cancer testing By Robin Lord Cape Cod Times (MA) December 24, 2007 The man who convinced the state health department to look into elevated rates of a rare bone cancer on Cape Cod says they should press on to find the cause, now that Pave PAWS has been dismissed as a possible link. Bernard Young, whose 22-year-old daughter Holly was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma three years ago, said while he and DPH officials differ over some things, they agree that more research is needed. "As tragic as this situation is, we need to get to the bottom of it, because this will probably define the first-known risk factor for Ewing's sarcoma," he said last week. ...
