Ingleside LRA project manager abruptly resigns
Perkins had served as project manager for a little more than a month.

INGLESIDE - The project manager for the Ingleside Local Redevelopment 
Authority has resigned slightly more than a month after he started.

The Ingleside Local Redevelopment Authority is charged with planning the 
reuse of about 155 surplus acres, known as the Electromagnetic Roll 
Facility, at Naval Station Ingleside when the Navy leaves. The Navy is 
expected to cease operations at the facility as early as September.

Peter L. Perkins, who was named to the position in December and started 
Jan. 7, sent an e-mail Friday announcing his resignation, authority 
chairwoman Stella Herrmann said. Herrmann, who had taken the day off 
from work, had not seen the e-mail and couldn't say the reason for 
Perkins' resignation.
