Cleanup a concern in Devens land plan By Liz Garner Harvard Post (MA) March 13, 2008 HARVARD - Although not a town, Devens will get its own Open Space and Recreation Plan and is soliciting comments on it by next Thursday. Selectmen had a chance to weigh in on the five-year plan at their March 4 meeting, questioning members of the Devens Enterprise Commission on the cleanup of contaminated soil and future access to water resources. The 2008-2013 plan covers all lands within the Devens Regional Enterprise Zone, but excludes areas administered by the Job Corps, the federal prison, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Massachusetts Army National Guard and the U.S. Army. Yet one of the plan's key conclusions is that "continued efforts are still needed to address areas of untreated stormwater and possible non-point source pollution both on MassDevelopment lands and especially Army lands." ...
