Contract in works for TEAM Santa Rosa

Santa Rosa County and TEAM Santa Rosa are looking at a possible contract 
for the economic development group’s services.

In other economic development news the county commissioner moved to 
Thursday’s meeting the possible purchase of 101 acres adjacent to NAS 
Whiting Field at the cost of $510,000.

Funding for this purchase would be a $239,000 Florida Defense 
Infrastructure Grant and $271,000 from U.S. Navy easement proceeds.

Most of the funding from the U.S. Navy is available due to the land 
being an Accident Potential Zone (APZ).
