Wind turbines proposed for Annapolis Would accompany radio towers on Greenbury Point By LIAM FARRELL Annapolis Capital (MD) September 14, 2008There was a time when the wind whistling through the radio towers on Greenbury Point was far less noticed than the radio messages they sent to the Atlantic Fleet during World War II or the first microwave signal sent to a satellite. The 19 towers that once dominated the mouth of the Severn River and the Annapolis skyline dwindled to three after the facility was mothballed by the 1993 Defense Base Closure and Realignment Commission. ...But the wind still is there.
