Kulis ANG Base closure raises concerns with neighbors

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Concerned neighbors of Kulis Air National Guard 
Base turned out in force at a public meeting Tuesday night.

As part of the federal Base Realignment and Closure plan, Kulis is 
merging with Elmendorf Air Force Base. That means that in 2011 the base, 
owned by the state, will be given back to the Ted Stevens Anchorage 
International Airport.
