Workers find munitions on state game lands near Gap By BRAD RHEN Lebanon Daily News (PA) April 8,2010STONY VALLEY - This winter, a Lykens man was searching State Game Lands 211 north of Fort Indiantown Gap for deer antlers. Instead, he found a piece of unexploded ordnance, or UXO, and took it home.He later read a story in a newspaper about a program to search for military munitions fired from the Gap that, for one reason or another, landed in the game lands. "He saw a story in the paper, called me on the phone, and it was the real deal," National Guard spokesman Lt. Col. Chris Cleaver said Wednesday. "They called state police and brought it back to the Gap, and it did explode in a controlled detonation." ...
