Boeing, feds will pay Fresno settlement By John Ellis Fresno Bee (CA) September 15, 2010Fresno city officials got a rare bit of good budget news Wednesday: A lawsuit settlement with the federal government and Boeing Corp. would mean millions for the city. Boeing and federal officials agreed on Wednesday to settle a lawsuit the city filed almost four years ago dealing with the cleanup of contamination at Fresno Yosemite International Airport. Under terms of the settlement -- which still requires the approval of U.S. District Judge Oliver W. Wanger -- the federal government will pay 68% of future cleanup costs, Boeing will pay 22% and the city the remaining 10%. ...
