Flyover missions have residents soaring mad By Eric Fincher Sangre de Cristo Chronicle (NM) October 21, 2010TAOS - People from all across Northern New Mexico showed up at the Civic Center in Taos to voice their concern over the Air Force's plan to conduct low-level flight training missions in the area. The meeting was just one in a series of meetings conducted by Cannon Air Force Base officials, being held in northern regions of the state and Southern Colorado to get a scope of how residents feel about military aircraft conducting low-level flights in the area mountains. Colonel Stephen Clark, wing commander of the 27th Special Operations Wing at Cannon AFB in Clovis explained what the Air Force is proposing, but he was met with animosity from many in the audience. ...
