Shot in the arm for base reuseMedical supply firm from Sweden eyes building a 78,000-square-foot plant at Brunswick Landing By Seth Koenig Brunswick Times Record (ME) October 22, 2010BRUNSWICK - An international manufacturer of health care products wants to launch a new 78,000-square-foot, $37 million operation for Brunswick Naval Air Station property. If permitted, Mölnlycke Health Care hopes to open its Brunswick facility by the end of next year and create 100 manufacturing, laboratory and research jobs here. Mölnlycke is the parent corporation of Wiscasset-based medical foam producer Rynel Inc. The firm's proposal represents the second major private manufacturing plant at the 3,200-acre property that will become available as a result of the federally mandated Navy base closure. In July, Kestrel Aircraft Co. announced it plans to ultimately hire as many as 300 workers to help manufacture turboprop airplanes in Hangar 6. ...
