Concerns raised in Weymouth over Whitman's water levels

Weymouth - The Jan. 24 town council public works committee meeting 
reviewed questions about Whitman's Pond water levels and the 
redevelopment of the former South Weymouth Naval Air Station.

Dominic Galluzzo, co-chairman of the Advocates for Abington, Rockland, 
Weymouth and Hingham, submitted inquiries about the water levels at 
Whitman's and the base project.

He asked the councilors why Weymouth officials had to develop a 
protective water management plan for Whitman's Pond and the Herring Run 
before the summer of 2011.
