JLUS policy committee requests last-minute changes By Mike Eiman Hanford Sentinel (CA) May 7, 2011The penultimate meeting of the Naval Air Station Lemoore Joint Land Use Study's policy committee turned into an eleventh-hour scramble to avoid leaving any stones unturned. Wednesday's meeting was supposed to tie up loose ends and evaluate public comments before accepting a final JLUS document on June 24. But requests for new information and additional funding could prolong a process that started nearly a year ago. …Based on suggestions made in the public comment period, mostly by NASL and the Lemoore city officials, the committee decided the document will need further study of NASL ground control approach patterns, or GCA boxes, and information about budding technologies such as unmanned aircraft. ...
