HLRA presents plans for Willow Grove Naval Air Station By Mark D. Marotta for the Spirit/Guide Montgomery News (PA) August 18, 2011It is now up to the Horsham Land Use Authority to consider three alternative plans for use of the Willow Grove Naval Air Station-Joint Reserve base presented at its executive board meeting on Wednesday. The HLRA is charged with finding potential uses for 892 acres of land at NAS-JRB designated as surplus property under the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Act. Last month, the HLRA executive board instructed RKG Associates Inc., the authority's consultant, not to give further consideration to proposals to locate an airport on the property. ...
