EOD experts to detonate WWII bomb on Yokota Air Base By CHARLIE REED Stars and Stripes December 6, 2011YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan – Bomb experts on Wednesday plan to detonate a 110-pound bomb that was found at an on-base construction site Tuesday. An explosive ordnance disposal team from nearby Yokosuka Naval Base is leading efforts to bury the 110-pound bomb, cover it with metal plates and detonate it Wednesday afternoon, according to Yokota spokeswoman Tech Sgt.
