Courcelle environmental report released By Gordon Dritschilo Rutland Herald January 12, 2012A government report says the Courcelle Brothers building is not an environmental threat. The U.S. Army, as part of the base closure process, has released its environmental assessment of the vacant reserve building, which is located on North Street Extension. The 129-page document is available online at www.hqda.army.mil and at Rutland Free Library. The assessment is open to public comment until Jan. 23.The building was closed following the completion of the new reserve center off Post Road, and the Army has said it intends to hand the old building over to the city for use by the recreation department. ...
