Senators question military's redaction of water contamination info LINDELL KAY Jacksonville Daily News (NC) March 9, 2012North Carolina's Senators have called out military officials for trying to redact information about Camp Lejeune's water infrastructure saying it would hamper efforts to learn more about past water contamination aboard base. Republican Sen. Richard Burr and Democratic Sen. Kay Hagan have publicly questioned the legal basis for removing certain information from the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry’s scientific report on water contamination at Camp Lejeune in letters to Dr. Thomas Frieden, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In response to Frieden's announcement this week that he would comply with military requests to redact reports, Burr again sent a letter to Frieden on Wednesday and posted Thursday on the subject on his Facebook page. ...
