State warns of Wurtsmith fish Associated Press May 3, 2012OSCODA TOWNSHIP, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Community Health warns people not to eat fish from a marsh apparently contaminated by chemicals from the former Wurtsmith Air Force Base in the northeastern Lower Peninsula. The department said it issued the warning Wednesday based on pumpkinseed and bluegill fish samples taken in 2011 from Clark’s Marsh.
