Local group examining link Press Publications May 29, 2012NEW BRIGHTON - Last Thanksgiving New Brighton resident Nick Halverson, 38, and three of his best friends from childhood were happy and healthy, busy with their young children, families and careers. By January, two of those men had been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. Around the same time Halverson began hearing about many other people he'd grown up with who also had cancer, several in their 30s and 40s.
