UAW rallies against Triumph plant's sale, downsizing by Matt Joyce Dallas Business Journal August 21, 2012Hundreds of Triumph Aerostructures-Vought Aircraft Division employees rallied Tuesday to express their concern that the potential sale of the Triumph plant in Dallas could result in the plant's closure. Dallas-based American Brownfield Corp. is buying the 315-acre property on Jefferson Street from the U.S. Navy, which has owned it for decades. Triumph Aerostructures employs about 2,400 people at the facility, which assembles aircraft parts. ...Triumph Group acquired the facility in June 2010, the latest owner in a long line of aerospace manufacturers to rent the facility from the government.
