As I wrote in July, CPEO's major grant runs out this month. We have  
arranged some other, smaller projects, but our ability to carry out  
such work has been undermined by the Federal shutdown.

To keep our doors open, and lights on, and e-mails flowing, we are  
seeking Donations from subscribers and friends. We are hopeful that  
by next Spring we will again have won new governmental support.

Please make out checks to the Pacific Studies Center, CPEO's 501(c) 
(3) non-profit tax-exempt host, and mail them to PSC, 278-Hope  
Street, Mountain View, CA 94041.

We are also offering Sponsoring Subscriptions to the Military  
Environmental Forum and the Brownfields Internet Forum newsgroups.  
The cost is $100 each or $150 for both for one year. To request an
