Guard cites progress in groundwater cleanup Officials show declining levels of potentially dangerous chemicals. By Trevor Brown Wyoming News December 6, 2013CHEYENNE -- A project to clean up groundwater contamination in the residential area near the Wyoming Air National Guard Base is making progress. Federal and state officials told local residents Thursday that well samples show lower concentrations of potentially dangerous chemicals than were detected last year. "We've been working on this for a long time, so it is a milestone for us to be at this point," said Casey Hudson, project manager with CH2M Hill, a group contracted to lead the restoration work. "We are happy with the results, and now we are largely focusing and monitoring and making sure there are no problems." ...
