McClellan Business Park in line to get title on 198 acres of former base by Dennis McCoy Sacramento Business Journal (CA) June 19, 2014 Once one of three military bases in the Sacramento region, McClellan Air Force Base at one time was the single largest industrial facility in Northern California, employing up to 26,000 people, according to McClellan Business Park, which converted the base into a business park in 2001. In this iteration, 198 acres scattered across the entire 3,000-acre former base have been deemed sufficiently remediated, or on the way to do so, to be readied for formal title transfer to Sacramento County and then the business park. Alan Hersh, the business park’s senior vice president, said the business park already is handling leasing for many of those 198 acres, but having the title will make managing them easier. … For the entire article, see http://www.bizjournals.com/sacramento/news/2014/06/19/mcclellan-business-park-former-base-acres-title.html -- Lenny Siegel Executive Director, Center for Public Environmental Oversight a project of the Pacific Studies Center 278-A Hope Street Mountain View, CA 94041 Voice: 650-961-8918 or 650-969-1545 Fax: 650-961-8918 LSiegel@cpeo.org http://www.cpeo.org _______________________________________________ Military mailing list Military@lists.cpeo.org http://lists.cpeo.org/listinfo.cgi/military-cpeo.org | |
